Eleanor du Plooy
Eleanor du Plooy works as a Cape Town-based dialogue facilitator and trainer, writer and researcher for The Institute for Justice and Reconciliation. In her capacity as Senior Project Leader she facilitates difficult conversations towards the promotion of social justice and reconciliation with a focus on Youth and Gender.
She is a peace building practitioner with seven years’ experience working within the field of justice, reconciliation and community healing. During her time working within the NGO sector she has gained experience in project management, hosting interventions, facilitating dialogues, developing training materials and writing funding proposals. She is a public speaker and writer whose opinion editorials explore issues of identity, history and memory. She is an experienced researcher and trained anthropologist.
