FOR THE LOVE OF CHILDREN
The late Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Mrs Leah Tutu enjoyed a close and enduring relationship with Tygerberg Children’s Hospital, in Cape Town, serving as patrons and regularly visiting the wards to spread their special brand of love. After not visiting for some time, it was something of a homecoming when Mrs Tutu returned on 11 December as a special guest of the hospital executive and the Tygerberg Children’s Hospital Trust. A qualified nurse, herself, Mrs Tutu visited some of the wards and was shown a special space where the hospital pays tribute to her life-partner, the Arch.
